Art Gallery

On the 27th of March my class took a trip to the art gallery.  I wasn’t very excited as I had already been there. But we jumped on the bus and left. Once we arrived we were greeted with a lovely woman named Whea Vanessa. She showed us the outside of the building and the cool patterns. When we walked in we sat on some stairs that were 105 years old. At first I thought that the stairs were probably the same age as the building but no it was 105 years old. After that we went into a room and saw a massive painting that looked like it was staring into my soul. I asked how long it took to bring it in and Whea Vanessa said it took them a week to and that they had to design their elevator to fit it but yet it still didn’t fit  so they had to take the frame off, put the painting on the wall then the frame.  After all that we went to the art room and did some charcoal paints

Being inclusive

What does being inclusive look and sound like?

Being inclusive is working in a team. Working in a team is not saying “Haha you can’t do this” or “you suck at blah blah blah”.  Working in a team is being in a group and brain storming with everyone not just your friends.  When you work in a team you should be calling the person’s name before throwing anything or make eye contact with them. If someone doesn’t think they can do something try and encourage them to try it.

When you being inclusive its not just hogging all the equipment to yourself. It’s actually sharing it out fairly and evenly.  When you do running games don’t just get the fast people to run make sure everyone has a turn at running. Make sure you play by the rules so its fair.

Also remember teamwork is choosing to participate and not sit out because you don’t want to play the game.

Harold visit

Today my class and I went into the Harold bus. We learnt about how vaping and smoking is bad for you and can cause heath problems. We watched a small clip about someone finding a vape in the gutters and taking a photo with it to look cool. The person sent it to a friend, And the friend added a cloud to make it look all real and stuff.  There were kids at the park who must’ve saw the photo. The kids then headed a vape and didn’t say anything. The kid then walked off but then turned around he then took a puff and started coughing. The kid knew he should not have taken one because he had asthma. We then talked about the video and how it’s bad for you. We then talked about vaping.

They claim vaping is better for you than smoking which is not true. Vaping is just as bad as smoking. They made vapes in sweet flavours because it attracts young people because those are the flavours they like. Then the worker told us if you vape then you’re an idiot. It’s crazy to know people under age people such as 10 yrs or so are vaping when they are WAY underage. When the legal age is 18+

Just don’t smoke or vape PLEASE save your lungs.
